Capita Snowboards and Blue Montgomery
I just posted a review on a snowboard called the Capita Quiver Killer on Snowrev today. The board review was a part of a trade show demo held at Winter Park in Colorado.
While there I had the opportunity to ride with the founder and engineer behind the products Blue Montgomery. Blue is a very passionate snowboarder who was riding pro in the early 90′s. He started Capita 10 years ago this season and the company has done very well. They have been able to consistently develop some amazing products.
Blue spends a lot of time in Austria where the boards are made. He is over there working with the engineers at the factory making sure that the products are dialed and ready for production on time. Capita is a great company that is rider owned and operated and deserves all the credit they get in the industry. We carry a bunch of the Capita products at our shop in Jamestown and Eville.
It was an honor to ride with him and hear him tell me that in his perspective I truly love snowboarding. To hear something like that mean a lot because I truly do. There is something amazing about snowboarding that no one can take from you.. A freedom, a passion. I see that in Blue as well from the days of old no grab shiftys at Brighton Utah like in this video at Snowboarder…
