Skateboarding in Mammoth with Frank Knab and Whats in a Job Title

So a few weeks ago I put together this skateboard edit I filmed in one day at the Mammoth Lakes Skatepark which was funded by The Jeff Anderson Memorial Fund and a ton of sponsors including Volcom, Wave Rave, Burton, about 500 locals and many more.  The park is a work of art, built by the grindline skatepark crew, which turned out to be a group of hardcore skateboarders and snowboarders that killed it behind the spotlight.  A solid crew of guys that didn’t want interviews, didn’t want photos but just wanted to build their park, skate it and move on.

There is a lot to be said about the people who would rather do the work and remain behind the scenes.  Often, there are individuals that “don’t do shit for their Secretary title but still want to be Vice President.” I personally have a ton of respect for the people who stay behind the scenes and actually make the shit happen.  This skate park is a perfect example of that.  Its one of the best skate parks I have ever seen and its an honor to skate it. For anyone that will ever skate this park remember that its not about being the man with the title, its just about making it happen.

This kid Frank Knab is one of the baddest ams coming up in skateboarding and snowboarding right now..  He is super mellow, yet super energetic, his attitude is in the right place, he understands what is important in life and will go very far with his efforts and his dreams.  Frank skates the Mammoth park unlike anyone else I have seen yet and will truly show you what it means to have Flow.  Watch out for this kid.  No joke.
